Camp Caroline is located in the beautiful foothills of the Canadian Rockies, 6.5 km south of the town of Caroline, on 320 acres of beautiful woodlands. Camp Caroline is owned and operated by the Alberta Baptist Association (ABA). The strong supportive relationships that exist between Camp Caroline and the churches of the ABA allow for sharing resources and a strong team effort to accomplish Kingdom purposes. The facilities include an indoor pool & hot tub, meeting rooms, games room, gymnasium, sports fields, volleyball courts, over 8km of hiking trails, and two modern lodges which comfortably accommodate up to 228 people. The facility is rented out to a variety of groups from September to mid-June and is well suited to accommodate school band groups, family reunions, craft workshops, and various church retreats. The Camp offers a picturesque setting, wholesome atmosphere, and an overall first rate retreat environment.Alvin Reinhard Fritz Architect Inc. (ARFAI) has been involved in the design of Camp Caroline for many years. Construction and development on the site proceeded on the basis of a Master Plan which was developed by ARFAI in collaboration with Jim Crozier and the Camp Board and Building Committee. One of the first projects developed in the context of this Master Plan was a central Chapel which provides a central focus for the camp and draws all who visit to their spiritual roots. The second phase of development towards the implementation of the master plan was construction of a regulation size gymnasium designed to preserve the opportunity for sports camps. The most recent phase of development was a housing wing which provides much-needed accommodation for guests at Camp Caroline.Alvin Reinhard Fritz Architect Inc. is privileged to have been able to provide collaborative design services for this exciting environment.
