The firm participated in the search and ultimate renovation of this residence within an established Santiago neighborhood. Distributed in the form of an “L”, the building’s original footprint was maintained while a distinct yet complimentary form placed atop the existing structure provided adequate space for the new family. This new volume, overlooking Manquehue Hill to the North, contrasts the original structure through a play of materiality and shape. Today the renovated Cadaques home remakes its relationship to the outdoors and assumes a greater presence within the existing neighborhood.
