In the context of the renovation of the Cuyés quarter, the collective Bruit du Frigo in collaboration with the architects and urbanists of Traverses, the landscape designers Trouillot et Hermel and different groups of inhabitants worked on the reassignment of public space of the area.
Because the workshop takes place in winter we decided to build a temporary little cozy shelter in which you can find a wood stove to heat up, a big table (that can be removed), a billboard and a little tribune. Alternating playful moments (concert, soup contest,…) have been organized for informal studies and collective energy, and workshops that were the more formal time. We worked on the problems, potentials and desires of the quarter using maps and drawings or by going directly to the concerned spot.
Using the collected information, the office Traverses made a first project proposition that was handed to the city. To be continued…
