Designed for a family of 4 in a dense locality of Delhi, this small two-bedroom apartment started as a small renovation but turned into a complete transformation, because during the process, a revealed structural crack shifted the scope of work, from using ISMB sections for strength, then hiding these structural elements in the design without making the space feel heavy.
The intimate scale of the spaces allows attentive focus on the details and surfaces while the lightly textured palette with white as a base—white Indian marble flooring, white walls, and white ceiling—keeps the space bright and open. These are balanced with accents of blue, terracotta tiles, and black stone jambs. Custom-made teak wood and brass detail jail is designed to hide structure retrofitting and Air conditions to enhance the space.
The home is furnished with a combination of bespoke hand-crafted and carefully curated furniture pieces to create an inviting and quiet respite aura from the surrounding busy locality.
