C Future Lab was opened in July 2020 in C Future City, Shenzhen, China. It is an entirely new concept of a gallery where it allows visitor to explore the future development of Shenzhen and it provides a new platform for designers, thinkers, artists to discuss how urban design will reshape our ways of living in the future.
As an experiential laboratory, it integrates Technology, Art and Nature through a series of innovative installations composed of digital art, 3D printing sculpture and green vegetation to create multi-dimensional experiences of senses to visitors. Through sight, hearing, touch and smell, visitors can experience the distinct design elements that shape the C Future City.
C Future Lab combines the work of a group of the most innovative designers from all corners of the world, including digital artists teamLab from Japan, landscape consultant Patrick Blanc from France, industrial designer Ross Lovegrove from the UK, and China’s exhibition specialist, Motse to create an inspiring journey for visitors to rethink the way they live.
As a platform to inspire innovative insights and to encourage discussion, the functions of art gallery, co-working space, garden, discussion forum and social gathering area are combined to adapt to the evolving functional needs of society. Different zonings are created with unique stories and they work as sequential spaces of anticipation, inspiration, exploration, information and discussion.
C Future Lab presents an opportunity for a unique experiential project designed to showcase Shenzhen’s C Future City – with the aim of creating a laboratory for new ideas to be tested, shared and discussed to define the path for the future construction of the ultimate city.
