Here we have undertaken the task of how to make a parking deck for 750 vehicles a green and relaxing oasis for hospital visitors while simultaneously boosting local fauna. To generate this goal, a 400 meter long city street with vegetation groves and fruit-bearing tree species has been implemented. Alongside this, a 140 meter long ‘butterfly restaurant’ in the shape of a perennial planting bed with nectar vegetation as well as a raised beds with ruderat vegetation on the 4 400 m2 large roof, has been constructed. The Biotop roof consists of delimited fields of different types of substrates that are sown with matching seed mixture for meadows.
