The fitout of a new library and
community hub at No.2 Conder
Street, Burwood provided an exciting
opportunity to contribute to a vital
community facility and revitalise a former
council building located on the edge of
the busy Burwood commercial and civic
precinct.
The development of an inventive
strategy for the successful adaptive
reuse of the former council office
building into a new central library and
community hub is the key outcome
of this project. The integration of the
building with the adjacent public domain
results in a positive civic precinct.
