DAAA Haus was approached by Multilotto, a well established Scandinavian online lotto / gaming company to create an interesting office concept they wanted to develop in an old run down 1980 discotheque. The space was stripped down and exposed industrial structural works where cleaned up. The fusion between industrial and minimal clean ergonomic design, mix of vibrant coloured glass with clean modern raw finishes reflect the ethos of the business centre; to create an international organized fun environment that allows like minded people from the arts, tech and design industries to network and share ideas, and collaborate on projects. Whilst the space is open plan allowing continuous interaction, satisfaction, productivity and creativity between fellow employees, we have separated areas with break out lounge furniture, soft meeting booths and see through louvered wooden partitions to give room for private quite meeting areas. Although the property is a corner building with a lovely terrace, enjoying abundant natural light, the back of the building had no light except for two windows leading on an internal service shaft. This gave us scope to develop an internal artificial yard. By using a back lit Barrisol ceiling (staging up a sense of natural light) and enclosing the area in glass, hiding the shaft windows with louvers allowing always natural fresh ventilation, we filled up this glass box with plants and tree chippings on the floor creating a very relaxing artificial break out garden.
