The restoration project is based on the knowledge that the Pirelli Skyscraper is a monument of the Italian Architecture. It is one of the highest artistic expressions of the last century, seamless integration of art, architecture, engineering, technology and knowledge construction. Based on this initial assumption is based on the intention to preserve the architectural and technical monument. The restoration is to apply all the methods provided by the science of restoration and return to pursue the preservation efficiency and readability. Although materials used in the building and construction solutions new to the discipline of restoration, loose objects around a traditional but inexperienced as regards the treatment of the modern ones, and they proceeded to their conservation in accordance with the principles of the methodology but using modern restoration intended to experimental and innovative actions developed with interdisciplinary collaborations and contributions. Within the project of restoration will identify two moments. The first, operationally defining conservation areas and modalities of interventions aimed at preserving the existing shares authentic, The second, the functional recovery, which identifies those aimed at restoring patchy parts of the building and return full functionality abd readability as well as formal and aimed at making more visible the representative character which invests the building as the seat of the Lombardy Region.
