Alchemy worked with hip developer Jeff Herman of Urban Anthology and Roehr+Schmitt to revitalize adjoining storefronts on an edgy urban retail corridor. With the visual chaos in the area, the storefronts create a respite featuring natural materials. Both facades utilize rough-sawn pine installed as a rain screen to ensure that they will weather well over time; one is new material stained black, the other salvaged barn wood that was even brought into the rough-hewn interior spaces.
