Project
undertaken to the National Contest of The Brusque Landmark.
The
textures, the rhythmic sensations and the space sensations permeate this
project research. However potentially this research is marked by the man
evolution, as by his question needs, and the ability to change the known. The
needs to overcome the existing technologies and the development of a distinct
materiality are a daily necessity. In a global search not only dictated by the
machine but either by the new prerogatives of the modern man.
The
landmark proposed to Brusque is not only limited to a vertical demarcation used
by man during his history, but by a verticality sum to a spatial conformation.
This sum allows the existence of an urban infrastructure, in which different
events can occur encouraged by the proposed promenade. Therefore, there was a
necessity of a deeper connection than the visual one, a topography relation was
created through a complex mesh that repeats and connects itself.
The
topography proposed was an answer to the protecting intention for the users
against the vehicles’ noise on highways, as well as emphasizes the landmarks
visuals and decreases the interference of the parking lots. The topography
variations also provide natural spots to the users.
The
large pieces of marble provided by the City are going to be sliced and held by
the metallic totems, which had variable heights and will be bolted into
concrete elements.
