This project is a 5,000 square foot summer vacation home for a large family that entertains often. The house is composed of a series of volumes to reduce the overall size, but also to allow the house to engage the outdoors. The entry to the house is more opaque and as one proceeds through the space the back opens toward the secluded wilderness. The space created between the volumes can then be used for outdoor living. There is a deck along the back of the house to invite circulation to the exterior during the summer months. The interiors are simple and open to allow for flexibility in living.
