In 2009, Brooklyn College unveiled the “West Quad”, the first new building to be constructed on the campus since the 1970’s. Designed to be a central location for students to conduct their campus related activities, the building houses the Registration, Scholarship, Bursar and Financial Aid offices, as well as a state-of the-art athletic and recreation facility that includes a 25 yard pool for both recreational and team swim, an 11,700 square foot competition gym with bleacher seats to sit 700 spectators, racquetball and squash courts, weight and fitness rooms, a 3,400 square foot dance studio and more.New York Engineers provided engineering consultation services for a renovation that involved the skylights and curtain wall within the West Quad building.For more information on this project, please visit us here.
