Spector Group is the Executive Architect for Brookfield Office Properties’ upgrade and expansion of the retail portion of the World Financial Center.
The project consists of a “dramatic” glass pavilion along West Street, across from the World Trade Center, which will link the 8 million-square-foot complex with downtown’s two new mass transit hubs.
It also includes Hudson Eats, an upscale dining terrace overlooking the Hudson River and the Winter Garden staircase. The space, designed by BCV Architect and AvroKO, features approximately 600 communal seats and fast-casual concepts from 14 top-noch eateries including Mighty Quinn’s, Black Seed, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Umami Burger, Num Pang and Sprinkles cupcakes.
The retail portion which is now under construction, will consist of 40 high-end fashion shops and a 25,000-square-foot gourmet food marketplace. The entire retail complex will be 177,000 square feet.
