Following the completion of the College Masterplan for Brisbane Boys College, Wilson Architects have been commissioned to design the Middle School Precinct.
The new Precinct creates new flexible classrooms, library and science teaching spaces, reflecting flexible learning pedagogies, for the middle school.
The planning of the new building provides for extending the learning environment to spaces outside of the classrooms, creating social opportunities as much as student led learning opportunities. This transition between classroom and informal spaces allows for greater transparency and engagement between students and teachers within their school environment.
A full scale classroom prototype formed part of the process to test, model and refine the teaching spaces.
