Conrad Gargett were engaged by Brisbane Airport Corporation in 2012 to develop a brief for the new BAC HQ. The process commenced with a four hour workshop with 52 of BAC’s senior managers in order to understand: the BAC strategic vision, how BAC work, what the BAC brand means, how technology is used in BAC and to envision the future of work for BAC. Involvement of these staff members has been key to the ongoing success of the project. The briefing process then continued with; key stakeholder interviews, focus groups, concept briefing and staff presentations. Conrad Gargett then delivered conceptual and functional briefs that included all space standards and room data sheets. Conrad Gargett has now been commissioned to design the new 6300sqm workplace for BAC. The innovative new design features; collaboration zones, intensive work zones, extensive flexible meeting and training room allocations and interconnecting stairs all contained within a rich design language that reflects the BAC brand and connects the occupants to the core business – the airport.
