Brf Leanderklockan is a new residential development designed by architect and designer Jonas Lindvall. The project is part of the first stage of Ystad city council's Ystad Trädgårdsstad neighbourhood, a new district which will bring 400-450 newly built homes to the region.

The development of 18 two and three-story apartments will be located on a plot in the northern part of the new district in Ystad's Dammhejdan area, the former site of a plant nursery. The plan consists of three separate blocks containing six apartments, laid out side-by-side. Apartments range in size, from 79 sqm to 143 sqm, each with a unique layout that includes features such as double ceiling height volumes with mezzanine floors. The majority of apartments also have a separate entrance on each level, offering a range of possibilities, such as work/live spaces or generational living. All apartments are open plan, with kitchen islands dominating cooking and dining areas. Ground floor apartments have double-height sliding window sections measuring up to 5.2m high, which open out to a northwest-facing private patio, while apartments located on the second or third floor each have their own terrace and/or balcony.

As part of the council's plan to create a "green neighbourhood", much of the original nature and flora from the former nursery will remain, creating verdant surroundings for residents. In addition to many other green initiatives that the new neighbourhood will boast, such as groundwater management through infiltration and irrigation and innovative composting and recycling solutions, each of Brf Leanderklockan's 18 apartments will have their own seedbed within their private outdoor space to encourage each resident to grow their own fresh produce.

Sustainability is also reflected in the interiors, with the use of high quality, natural materials such as solid oak and marble. The use of organic materials also introduces elements of warmth and texture to the design, whilst reflecting the beauty and quality of Jonas Lindvall's architecture, for which he is internationally known.
