On November 13th, Quinzhee Architecture celebrated the official launch of its brand-new
online shop at its office in Quebec City. This new initiative aims to democratize local
architectural culture. For the occasion, the workspace was transformed into an ephemeral
exhibition space to host the first edition of the Friendly and Festive Evening.
More than a hundred guests, including collaborators, partners, architecture enthusiasts, and
curious neighbors gathered for an exclusive preview of the firm's 2025 project cohort and the
products derived from them. This evening marks the beginning of an annual tradition
designed to bring the public closer to architecture in a warm, accessible atmosphere.
A Festive Evening
This year, the Friendly and Festive Evening allowed visitors to discover the projects and
products of the 2025 cohort. To achieve this, a series of presentation boards were arranged
through the center of the space, highlighting the venue's architecture and the firm's office
furniture.
The warm atmosphere was further enhanced by the participation of various collaborators.
Guests enjoyed a selection of beers from Siboire St-Vallier (whose terrace project is part of
the 2025 cohort), bites from Sandwicherie Baloney (for whom Quinzhee is designing the
interior this year), and a tattoo station by Charles Turcotte, who collaborated with the firm on
the illustration for Franky’s bag.
Undoubtedly, this first edition has laid the groundwork for an annual tradition destined to
evolve, gathering a growing community around a playful, accessible and engaged approach
to architecture.
The Friendly Boutique
Quinzhee Architecture’s new online shop offers a selection of unique items, each designed
to illustrate a specific aspect of a project from the 2025 cohort. More than simple
accessories, they serve as a medium to illustrate the principles and interests that shape the
firm's work.
The visuals are inspired by the team's working methods and representation styles,
translating the sometimes complex concepts that drive their projects. Included with each
product is an informative card, allowing the buyer to learn more about selected topics, such
as the treatment of openings, the modulation of urban facades, contemporary brick bonding
and usage, or the parameters for implementing an architectural project in nature. By
adopting these items, the public is invited to share a vision of architecture that is sensitive,
lively, and human-scaled.
Through this initiative, Quinzhee Architecture wishes to open the doors of its practice and
contribute to the diffusion of local architectural culture. The shop thus becomes a natural
extension of its mission: to make architecture more accessible, understandable, and
inspiring for everyone.
