Footprint Architects undertook the refurbishment and new interior fit-out of the Learning Resource Centre at Bournemouth and Poole College, North Road Campus.
The design is focused around zoning the different curriculum areas within the library. These clusters are represented using varying materials, colours and textures. The scheme raised the ceiling revealing a double height space which was wrapped in American white oak.
The proposal included the provision of new project rooms, an IT suite and further specialist library areas. The refurbishment works included new frameless glass entrance screen, new furniture, zoned floor finishes, and a new lighting scheme.
