The
design concept is inspired by the journey to Kao Yai, where people experienced
the visual beauties of many different species of natural greeneries
from every angle throughout the trip until reaching their destination.
This inspiration is transformed into the main design concept of
"The Bridge" and "Botanical Gardens" for the
project by the architect. These two concepts will be located in the center
of the site, to enable visitors options of choosing their pathway amidst
natural and recreational spaces to their accommodations.
In addition of being a movement artery, the Bridge is also a recreational
route, where visitors can perform physical exercises or take a leisurely walk.
On the other hand, the Botanical Gardens will enable visitors to experience a
direct contact with nature.
The architectural work will encompass 3 different building types which will include
Pool Villas being located in the frontal part of the site, and buildings types
A & B will be located on the back parts of the site. All buildings are
designed to harmoniously blend with the surrounding natural environment.
The architect has developed designs within a contemporary context, but still
keeping intact the essence of a tropical feeling and atmosphere. This is
achieved through a careful consideration of appropriate planning layout to
ensure that the residents are able to see the beautiful panoramic scapes of Kao
Yai. In addition, the architect collaborates closely with the interior designer
in selecting most appropriate building materials for both the interior and
exterior, to enhance and conserve the local identity.
