In our research we came across an old building in a village called "gonal giron". The building is much more advanced than the architectural the time it was built. We wanted to preserve the remains of the building to give it a new life.
Conventional repair methods in Iran for old buildings only if there is high traffic of visitors and tourists is effective in Iran and if it is not visited by tourists or other people will be left unused but we wanted to design for achieve protect and restore the buildings.
And also wanted create a services space to encourage people return to village from cities because It may gives a new life to the village.
The village is quiet and beautiful nature can be pleasant for elderly. On the other hand the elderly become friend with an old building and a traditional environment and there can live better.
We decided to replace the conventional method Restoration and the old preservation building with a new structure to make an attraction for people return there.
We wanted the new structure to be in the same color with the materials used in old building. On the other hand wanted to be a clear distinction between the new and old buildings , So decided to use "brass”.
We put vulnerable parts of the old buildings under the new structures support And offered solutions to repair damaged parts. In fact, we have activities in the field of "infill architecture" and a new structure with angular and triangular plates created. In the meantime we focused on quality and performance space. We try to provide a favorable environment for seniors
And we did this by designing spaces for sports such as swimming pools and gym and coffee shop that is associated with roof gardens and other places.
