This authentic prime steakhouse was the first venture outside of NYC for succesful restaurateur Fireman Hospitality Group. Our major design challenge was to manipulate new construction to look and feel as if it had been in use for decades. That included instructing craftsmen on the proper method for beating newly finished millwork with chains and hammers and scouring crates of random antique Italian tiles to find matching pieces. We were lucky enough to collaborate with a Tony Award-winning Broadway set designer to put the finishing touches on the interior. This was an unforgettable project and has been such an amazing success for Fireman Hospitality that they are in negotiations to bring two more of their unique restaurant concepts to the nation's capital.
