The project is a series of extensions to a singular existing house which is situated on a wee hilltop. A new indoor living space is built on the lower level with a roof terrace on top give stunning views towards the southwest. A dynamic staircase in steel links the upper roof terrace with the lower entrance walkway.
On the eastern and northern side of the existing house a new canopy is giving shelter to the entrance walkway. New intimate spaces are created around the house. The design idea is to “root” the existing house with the new design parts to the hill landscape – giving the house a sense of place to its surroundings.
