This project provides terminal programming, landside improvements and initial design for Nashville International Airport. The programming and initial design phase includes presentation of alternatives and recommendations to be incorporated into a design definition package. The major elements to be addressed include, but are not limited to an International Arrivals Building, ticket lobby, ticket counters, the addition of six gates, security checkpoint, bag claim area, concourse expansion, additional concessions, parking garage, future intermodal connection, hotel and administration offices. The modernized and expanded Nashville terminal will present a warm, welcoming and vibrant passenger experience acknowledging the communities’ diversity as well as establish leadership in sustainable design. Nashville International Airport will serve as a gateway for the middle Tennessee region connecting Nashville to new domestic and international destinations.
Nashville, connected.
The rate of growth of the Nashville Metropolitan area is unprecedented. With a vision to capture the unique spirit of Nashville and connect it to the world by providing passengers with a memorable experience, the design concept for this airport is grounded by three experiential Tennessee themes: the Cumberland Forest, Music City, and "Sweet Home Nashville."
In addition to aviation facility design that include an international arrivals building, ticket lobby, ticket counters, six new gates, security checkpoint, bag claim area, concourse expansion, additional concessions, parking garage, future intermodal connection, and hotel and administration offices, this design package includes presentation of alternatives and recommendations to be incorporated into a design definition package.
