As a centerpiece to the Entertainment District in Downtown Manhattan, Kansas, Bowman Bowman Novick, Inc. has completed the design of a unique urban park adjacent to the new Flint Hills Discovery Center and Hotel/Conference Center. The $3 million commons area was designed to be an actively programmed space for 12 months of the year and includes a large water feature with a display of music-synchronized laminar jets, a monumental warming fireplace, event plaza and seasonal shade structure composed of three large triangular sails.
