The City of Blue Ash purchased the Blue Ash Airport property and is converting the 200+ acre site into a world-class community park and recreation hub. The City of Blue Ash hired MSA Architects to design Summit Park using the vision of providing opportunities for young and old, 365 days of the year. The park is centered around the “Great Lawn” for community events, and will feature a 150+ foot high observation tower from one of the highest points in Greater Cincinnati. The observation tower will be the backdrop to the Performance Stage, allowing Blue Ash to host concerts and major Blue Ash events. In addition, a large covered glass structure, flanked by pavilions for community use, acts as the gateway to the Great Lawn and will be used for gatherings such as art shows, ice skating, celebrations and entertainment. The park includes the commons areas, active and adventure play areas, and the frontier/natural area; all with opportunities for discovery and education dispersed throughout using experiential branded signage and graphic elements. A 30’ tall sculptural sign element with a series of mini-vertical sculptures lining Glendale-Milford will be featured and act as wayfinding cues of the property.
Summit Park will provide outstanding amenities for residents and businesses in and around the City of Blue Ash.
