in this small two-bedroom apartment the strategy was to preserve the physical structure of the unity, the compartmentalization of the rooms and their functions, integrating them with the use of a self-levelling epoxy flooring in the entire plan. the blue color of the floor contrasts with the white walls, strengthens the concept and offers spatial unity. upon this defined base, the special pieces of furniture made of wood compose, along with pieces of award-winning design and personal objects, the rooms and the proposed uses.
the civil construction was kept to a minimum to reduce the cost and length of the construction. the independence of the pieces of furniture and their simplification enabled the them to be added over time, based on the availability of resources on behalf of the dwellers and their history.
