The project tries to emphasize the characteristics of a double-oriented penthouse. It is designed as a longitudinal space open at both ends producing a visual communication between two facades.
Mobile screens modulate gradually this connection and allow different configurations for this space.
From the beginning the design tries to maximize daylight all over the house. On the lower floor, the continuous space formed by the kitchen, the living room and the northeast terrace is perceived as a whole. This configuration allows better lighting by introducing daylight in the morning through the terrace and in the afternoon through the kitchen and its southwest facade.
A set of mobile screens graduate the intimacy between the living room and the kitchen depending on their situation.
The living room is extended through the adjacent terrace where an exterior space is available as a new lounge. It provides better daylight in the living room.
The project designs flexible and polyvalent spaces to adapt to different situations and their requirements.
The loft can acquire different configurations with complete freedom. On the first level the playroom assists in organizing the rest of spaces.
Both bedrooms are designed with wonderful views to southwest, and allow residents to enjoy magnificent daylight. The main bedroom has a strong relation with the exterior surroundings, providing a beautiful sight and a blue sky coming into the interior space. The design creates a place where one goes to bed watching the stars and wakes up under an immense blue sky. At the other end there is a polyvalent space which can be used as a gym and later on as an additional bedroom. The staircase gets daylight through this space and the lower floor through skylights.
