The house is located at former Fort Blauwkapel, once part of the ‘Dutch Waterlinie’. Today a State monument. The house is inspired by the surrounding history. Therefore, with exception of the chimney, the whole house is made out of untreated Plato-wood. The visible structure: rafters and laminated beams. Interior walls: birch plywood.The glass conservatory is the wintergarden and is connected to the living room through double doors and a fireplace.The residents wanted a house where areas overlap in a fluent way.A Dutch house.
