Black/White apartment is an exercise on restraint, on how working with extremely low budget could result in austere aesthetics and straightforward solutions, making effective use of scarce resources.
The objective was to transform the upper level of the client´s house into two separate apartments for renting. The palette consists of black and white finishes applied to surfaces, appliances and details, and the use of reinforced concrete (a durable, labor-intensive but cheap material) as a replacement of millwork.
