The Biscuit Block is a four-storey warehouse constructed in 1912 that is undergoing an adaptive re-use. Originally a furniture warehouse, the heritage-designated building will include office space on the upper three storeys and a restaurant at grade.
• Two new storeys will provide additional office space.
• A new entrance and lobby with a stairwell and elevator shafts will be created on the west side of the building.
• A portion of the existing roof will be transformed into an outdoor amenity space accessed from the fifth storey.
• The Block's mix of old and new exemplifies the spirit of regeneration transforming Calgary’s warehouse district into a vital inner city neighborhood.
