Located on the banks of the Jamapa River, Birria La Juana is conceived as an exercise in architecture that is based on absolute respect for the vegetation existing on the land.
The project, developed by Zona Design MX, transforms a natural environment where architecture does not invade, but is inserted among the trees and palm trees.

The main volume is presented as a clean geometric piece, with straight lines and contemporary language, whose visual strength lies in the strategic use of color. Blue not only defines the façade and windows, but also becomes an element of orientation and recognition, dialoguing with the green of the natural environment.

A language of defined volumes and strategic curved lines is used to soften the structural rigidity of the space. The main bar functions as a leading and articulating element, designed as a volume covered in ribbed carpentry that provides rhythm and texture.
The use of horizontal windows at the bar reinforces the operational transparency of the kitchen area, visually integrating food preparation with the diner's experience.
In toilets, the language becomes more experimental and sculptural, with design pieces that break the traditional orthogonality.
The chromatic proposal is intentionally conceived to generate a solid visual impact that is coherent with the identity of the project. Deep blue is established as the dominant tone, providing contemporary character and reinforcing the brand's presence within the space. On this basis, cementitious finishes work as a neutral support, allowing textures and volumes to be perceived more clearly.
The furniture introduces accents in terracotta tones, which balance the coldness of the blue and add warmth to the environment. Occasionally, red details of an industrial nature appear that add contrast and visual dynamism. The composition is complemented by warm lighting, designed to highlight the materialities, emphasize the textures and consolidate the contemporary aesthetics of the whole.
The vegetation is not limited to the outdoors; It is integrated as an active part of the interior design through planters and voids in the slab, which allow the passage of existing trees. This gesture reinforces the main premise of the project: to conserve, integrate and celebrate the landscape as part of the experience.
The lighting, resolved with pendant luminaires with clean lines and indirect perimeter lines, generates a warm and controlled atmosphere that contrasts with the light intensity of the tropical exterior.
The result is a restaurant where brand, architecture and nature operate as a unified system, creating a contemporary, fresh and memorable space. Birria La Juana does not compete with the place: it frames it, respects it and makes it the protagonist.
