We were commissioned to review the plans and bring a halted project to completion utilizing existing layout and partitions. This stunning home, located in the suburbs of Jerusalem, needed help, specifically the basement; the client’s request was to transform the space into a prominent aristocratic drawing room/lounge, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The final result includes an elegant billiard room, an inviting lounge and bar area complemented by an adjoining decorative wrought iron cellar door that leads to a state-of-the-art wine cellar with walls covered in authentic old bricks, and floors with reclaimed ancient stones.
Attention to detail is exemplified by finely crafted Italian woodwork. Onyx backlit ceiling panels cleverly disguise the maze of pipes and create the optical illusion of height. A small kitchen was added as well as a quaint powder room, a bathroom covered in prestigious Porto Oro marble and a fully equipped gym. The staircase leading to the basement is covered in rich walnut wood, and magnificent gold-leaf wallpaper.
