Beylerbeyi House Beylerbeyi House is the new Istanbul headquarters of Beylerbeyi ecekone of Turkeys most respected rak producers, known for blending deep-rooted tradition with contemporary refinement. Designed by Autoban, this adaptive reuse project transforms a 1960s detached house near Emirgan Korusu into a distinct, character-driven workplace that moves beyond corporate formalism to create a space defined by intimacy, narrative, and material depth. Autoban approached the building with layered storytelling and material sensitivity, preserving its existing layout and enhancing its inherent qualities through minimal, precise interventions. The interiors recall the quiet elegance of mid-century officesreferencing familiar archetypes while reinterpreting them with fresh, human-scaled clarity. The interiors are a tactile expression of these ideals: navy, burgundy, and tan tones evoke the warmth of a home, carried through custom wood paneling, veined burgundy marble, and softly lit spaces that invite quiet sophistication. The use of navy and walnut, alongside veined marble, nods to classic office color codesreminiscent of old-world refinement, yet updated with a personal sensibility. Autobans custom furnishings, including navy-upholstered box benches and lacquered wood butterfly chairs, are paired with iconic lighting such as the Pipistrello, Atollo, Taccia, and Panthella table lamps. USM modular units in navy punctuate the spacesfrom entry shelving to a dining-room-turned-meeting area where a marble bar and long table anchor social gatherings. These elements are complemented by a curated selection of artworks and objects from the clients own collection, styled with intent rather than decoration. The office operates without hierarchical divisionno private offices or executive enclaves. Workspaces flow organically, encouraging fluid collaboration among the 1015 team members present daily. A lush, botanically rich garden extends the workspace into nature, serving as a site for gathering, conversation, and reflection. Beylerbeyi House reflects the four core values of Beylerbeyi ecekelegance, authenticity, originality, and passionthrough every layer of its design.
