FORMA Design was commissioned to work with the base building architect in the interior architecture and interior design of this new construction home in Bethesda, MD. The clients were living in Hong Kong at the time, and wanted to build a home locally, to use on their occasional visits to the area. They asked us to guide them in setting a warm tone for the home, taking advantage of the large open plan but at the same time making sure the end result were modern and sun-filled spaces that felt cozy and intimate, and most importantly functional, in accommodating the lifestyle of the couple and their two sons.
FORMA designed custom cabinetry, selected the lighting, materials, finishes and furniture throughout and worked with the clients in achieving a cohesive result, helping accessorize the spaces and selecting and placing artwork as well. The clients have since moved to Bethesda full time- the home was perfect for them and made the relocation decision easy.
Client Testimonial
"We were already building a new house in Bethesda with a builder but needed someone to help us through the project to coordinate because we were living overseas. We also wanted more modern look which Forma design helped us to achieve from a few key design changes to the hardware selections. Larry -- our key contact - has always been accessible, professional and most respectable of our budget & taste. The project is now completed with Andrea taking over to provide the finishing touches/furniture selection. Highly recommend Forma. I love their minimalist approach to the designs. It was invaluable that they had extensive experience dealing overseas clients for such a daunting project of building a custom home. The follow up has always been impeccable".
