Berglass+Associates is an executive search firm with over 25 years of experience in recruiting across multiple industries. Their office space located at 655 Madison Avenue in midtown is approximately 7,000 RSF. The design layout follows a more traditional outfit with offices along the perimeter for the agents and workstations in direct proximity on the interior. The design direction was for a modern and clean space that reflects Berglass' sensibilities. A darker palette was chosen for a more intimate setting of privacy for clients and visitors. Acoustical and visual privacy was important in the space and taken into consideration for all design aspects. The same reasoning was applied when choosing the light selections creating a more intimate setting with small pools of light and accent wall washers for the artwork in the corridors. The design was focused on the reception area, conference rooms and public areas. Finishes are dark and warm with high-end metal and glass accents. The reception area features exposed ceilings, a full-height laminated grey glass feature wall with the Berglass signage and a beautiful accent 'Raimond' globe pendant from Moooi which reflects multiple star light points into the glass creating depth and sparkle. The office's public areas feature dark, rich wood floors and surface mounted decorative LED fixtures in a brown grey metallic finish. A generous size pantry is located off the main entrance corridor with bar height tables. Offices have acoustical tiles with ultra slim LED linear lights that clip over the grid for a minimal and modern look. The principals have corner offices with adjacent meeting rooms; one office has a private bathroom and closet area. Support spaces include a mother's room, IT closet, small storage and copy area. A private terrace wraps around the entire office floor overlooking Madison Avenue. All office furniture and reception desk was supplied by Estel through the Atlantic Group dealership.
