A friendly young couple with a substantial home in a conservation area approached us for a loft extension and a rarely-granted second floor rear extension.
In order to satisfy the design and conservation officer a more inward, subtle approach was required.
We presented a simple exterior of matching London stock brick with a cheeky subversive cut in this new wall to accommodate an introspective lightwell that provides the new family bathroom with expansive glazing and a zen-like focus for peaceful and private bathing.
