The concept is based on the reinterpretation of a XIX century French bourgeoisie benches called ‘confidence’ or ‘indiscret’, mirrored like furniture in which a person taking a seat share a confidence with another person. The bench weaves and extends on a length of 6 meters by less than 1 meter on its greatest width. The lines structuring the bench create a dual experience between physical conditions such as taking a seat, laying, discussing, observing and resting. Certain facetted surfaces behave as sitting areas, while some others as the structural sections for the overall design. This bench prototype embraces performance, and at the same time becomes a genuine object challenging normative and traditional furniture.
