Situé sur la 1re avenue à Limoilou, Belzébuth et Élizabeth s’intègre respectueusement dans ce quartier animé avec ses quatre unités généreuses sur deux niveaux offrant l’aménagement d’au moins trois chambres. Tous munis d’un stationnement en cour arrière, les logements sont traversants et lumineux. Les larges balcons emblématiques ont été simplifiés pour mieux s’harmoniser à ceux présents à proximité et sauront certainement animer la vie urbaine de la ruelle présente en fond de lot. Tout en gardant la topographie naturelle du site, des jeux de maçonnerie rehaussent aussi au caractère du socle et contribuent à améliorer l’intégration du projet au contexte urbain tout en gardant notre signature architecturale contemporaine. Le corps de bâtiment a été re-découpé pour réinterpréter le bâtiment existant : le socle de maçonnerie reprend les grandes lignes de l’architecture traditionnelle du Plex avec une trame régulière et des proportions typiques des ouvertures d’époque. La ré-interprétation des frontons distinctifs du quartier est primordiale pour ainsi garder l’esthétique de l’époque. Les unités du bas sont conçues de manière à ce que leur terrasse individuelle permette un accès direct aux stationnements, tandis que les unités du haut profitent de grandes terrasses sur toit qui surplombe l’environnement.

Located on 1st Avenue in Limoilou, Belzébuth et Élizabeth blends respectfully into this lively neighborhood with its four generous two-story units offering at least three bedrooms. All with backyard parking, the units are light and airy. The wide, emblematic balconies have been simplified to better harmonize with those nearby, and will certainly enliven the urban life of the alley at the end of the lot. While retaining the site's natural topography, masonry interplay also enhances the character of the plinth, helping to improve the project's integration into the urban context while retaining our contemporary architectural signature. The body of the building has been re-cut to reinterpret the existing building: the masonry base follows the main lines of traditional Plex architecture, with a regular grid and proportions typical of period openings. The reinterpretation of the district's distinctive pediments is essential to maintain the aesthetics of the period. The lower units are designed so that their individual terraces provide direct access to the parking lots, while the upper units benefit from large roof terraces overlooking the environment.
