This project is a challenge in relation to space and budget. The existing house stands on a very steep site. The only possible extension was to fit a space between the higher terraces and the house along a limited width. The program includes a house for an old couple with three guest apartments for children living abroad. The guest units should function independently from the main house although they share the main living spaces. The design extends the area in between the existing house and the hill. A very old olive tree becomes part of the house and the new courtyard.
