In 2017, Lecheng group entrusted MAD Architects to design a kindergarten next to a nursing community in Beijing. MAD retains the original Beijing quadrangle, and the new space expands in a low and gentle manner, surrounding and connecting the interior of the courtyard. The layout order of quadrangles is in sharp contrast and echo with the flow of new space.
Supercloud studio and MAD Architects worked together to realize the idea of indoor space. The education space on the whole floor is flowing and free. The arc wall is not only a space partition, but also a component of the supporting structure. By the end of 2019, the kindergarten have been completed and became a kindergarten that can accommodate 390 children aged 1.5 to 6. In such an environment, children will have an inclusive and true understanding of nature and history, and will also leave the most unique memory of Beijing quadrangle kindergarten.
