The project was developed on difficult, irregularly shaped terrain in the lot E-3, with a privileged view to the sea from Palillos beach, at the south of Lima.
Taking advantage of the lot's slope, the project is propose as a volume of different materials and textures in three levels that work together as a unit, with several connections between the interior and the outside. The client had three important requests: the sea view must be visible from most of the rooms, the social area is of primary importance, and the private areas should exude independence and tranquility.
According to the requirements of the beach, the volumes are designed at different levels, emphasizing the principal volume. The central space is closed on the sides to avoid direct solar entrance and eye contact with the neighboring lands. However, the other direction is practically transparent for the purposes of letting in the sea views.
Entrance to the master volume is allowed on the third level by a wooden bridge that ends in a double-height floating hall that looks over the social area and more sea views.
The social area is at the second level, opening up to a swimming pool. To the back, there is a yard that serves as a social and sand play area for the children.
At the first level, completely independent from the top, are 5 bedrooms. Most of them have balconies and privilege views of the sea.
