The house was both designed and built by Halflants + Pichette. Construction started in January 2011.The roof extends 30 feet to shad the facade and the elevated decks. The view to Tampa Bay is framed by exposed concrete fins and a wall in line with the projecting roof. The concrete fins extend the full height of the house. The outer edge of the roof tapers down to a mere 8". Decks on all living levels allow the house to expand to the outdoors. Slits are cut in the roof to frame the sky. All of the spaces are organized around the double height living space.
