Designed by Metex Studio Erk in Lara, Antalya, "Bayou Villas" makes a difference with its wide selection of contemporary art that includes different layers of thought and production, including examinations of the relationship between nature-human-time-life.
Located in the Lara region of Antalya, Bayou Villas, which is integrated with nature and shaped with the understanding of offering a personalized experience of each of its own, bears the signature of MSE, led by Hüray Erk and Kağan Erk, who have more than 20 years of experience in Turkey and abroad with many projects of different functions as well as hotel designs.
Drawing attention to the contemporary art selection created specifically for the project, the artworks used in Bayou Villas have a simple language in harmony with the architecture, interior architecture, and landscape architecture. The selection, mainly inspired by people, nature, nature observations, and behavioral characteristics of nature, consists of works that contain different layers of thought and production, including examinations of the relationship between humans.
The MSE team, which also cares about expanding the areas of interaction as it will meet with audiences with different perspectives over time, has created a large collection that includes the production styles of 25 other artists in different disciplines such as painting, ceramics, installation, collage, digital art, video art and NFT, both supporting young artists at the beginning of their contemporary art careers and internationally recognized or young-mid-career artists who have advanced themselves in the field of contemporary art in Turkey.
These works, which vary in their subject matter, have been realized from a holistic point of view in harmony with each other in terms of their placement in Bayou Villas, their approaches to color and form, their conceptual backgrounds, and their aesthetic languages.
