Whimsical – is the perfect word to describe the Top of the World Lounge fixture. The considerations throughout the design process for the lounge fixture were scale and proportion, but most importantly, it must say “Disney” to the guests.
The fixture - an integrated interior design element and light fixture- is fabricated with a painted steel tube amoebic shape frame and an array of opal acrylic cylinders penetrating the center. The use of materials and cylindrical shapes recalls materials and forms found elsewhere in the project coming together in the kinetic shape, celebrating the “Top of the World”.
