Battery Park City
Battery Park City is an entirely new mixed-use community on a 92-acre landfill on Lower Manhattan’s Hudson River waterfront and a new paradigm for large-scale urban development. The development is organized around a series of public environments such as the Battery Park City Esplanade, South Cove, and Rector Place, which rank among New York’s most cherished and enduring places. EE&K’s formative role in the emergence of Battery Park City as one of New York’s most desirable neighborhood includes the design of several residential buildings including Liberty Place, Liberty Green and Liberty Luxe, which has been designed for LEED Gold certification. One of the most successful and influential large-scale development projects of recent times, BatteryParkCity was honored by the Urban Land Institute with its Prestigious Heritage Award.
