Working closely with our client, this project resulted in a major alteration and additions to an existing California Bungalow in Gladesville. The double storey split level extension provides a contemporary yet comfortable spaces designed on sustainable design principals. Large bi-folding doors extend the full length of the kitchen and living areas to allow for maximum air flow. The proposal takes a passive sustainable design approach using low-E glass, rainwater collection tanks, high levels of insulation, LED lighting, recycled timbers, reverse brick construction and deep eaves to provide shading.
