This small project stems from a study linking the spacial requirements of a single family dwelling with that of the amount of energy needed to sustain that family. With recent innovations such as solar paint which can collect renewable energy from the sun, various residences were created all with the same inhabitable volume as well as with the capability of collecting the same amount of solar energy on their surfaces. The varying surroundings control the amount and location of sunlight which in turn causes the form of the residence to change shape, directly linking the residence to its environment.
