This downtown condo is a second home for the owners; one
that doesn’t have kid’s toys and jelly on the sofa. It is a prime location for walking to several
local restaurants, music venues, parks and trails. The owners wanted the condo to be furnished
comfortably with a Hill Country Contemporary flair. It needed to serve multiple functions, from
crazy parties to watching TV on the sofa or simply enjoying the beautiful
downtown view with their feet propped on the coffee table. Another important consideration was the
furnishings needed to be durable and able to withstand a little abuse from
visitors and the occasional special event lease. By incorporating local art and accessories in
the living room we were able to compliment the owner’s eclectic taste in music
and love for musician memorabilia. The expansive floor to ceiling windows were beautifully
covered by motorized roller shades (neatly hidden in a drapery pocket when not
in use.) that help protect the furniture and wood floors from the sun while still
giving the owner a clear view of the city.
The finished product is a place our
clients love to call home at least one weekend a month and a place their friends
and family beg to stay when they visit our beautiful city.
