Located in a historic, nine-story building in the heart of Greenwich Village, this small loft was purchased by the client in a state of disrepair. He requested a clean, warm aesthetic that incorporated the history of the building and created a calm respite from his hectic, daily life. The renovation involved exposing the existing brick wall and barrel-vaulted ceilings and treating them with a gentle whitewash to brighten the space. An existing storage loft was extended to allow for a small study.
